Why drains clog
Most kitchen drain clogs are grease, food debris, and soap scum that accumulates over years. Bathroom drains clog from hair, soap, and toothpaste film. Toilets clog from too much paper, the wrong things being flushed, or — less commonly — issues further down the line. Main drains can clog from root intrusion in clay-tile pipes (common in older Barrie and Bradford neighbourhoods), sediment buildup, or sewer-line damage.
Our approach
We diagnose first, snake second. Many “drain cleaning” services just shove a cable down the line, clear the immediate blockage, and leave. That works until the same clog comes back in three months because the root cause was never addressed.
We use:
- Manual augers and motorized snakes for most kitchen, bathroom, and laundry drains
- Hydro jetting for grease-heavy commercial drains and root-infested mains
- Camera inspection when a drain keeps clogging — we want to see why
If your line keeps backing up, the camera tells us whether you’re dealing with roots, a belly in the pipe, a partial collapse, or just accumulated buildup. That changes the recommendation from “snake it again” to “here’s the actual fix.”

What it costs
Most basic drain cleaning is in the $150–$300 range. Mainline jobs that require hydro jetting or camera work are quoted by job. We always quote before starting — no surprises.
After we clear it
We’ll tell you what we found and recommend whether ongoing maintenance, a stronger fix, or just monitoring is the right next step. Sometimes the answer is “you’re fine, no action needed.” We’d rather say that than upsell.
